“STILL/BOX’D came from a place of vulnerability. Trying to fit in a box that was set for you before you could become your own person. Trying to find your place in the world without giving into societies standards. Finding your happy place without losing yourself.”

“In 2020, I created a work that was never seen in the way that I originally thought it would be—to never became a physical manifestation. My graduate research lives on the internet as a interactive installation, and though I feel like it is the next frontier for me artistically, I still yearn for something physical.
This iteration—this (re)visiting—is my way of jumping back, much like Alice and Wonderland, into a world I built a few ago. Back to P!nk Hoodie. Back to Cu. Back to myself.”
