projectALCHEMY celebrates 5 years of propelling dance artists forward with the 2023 Momentum Choreographers Showcase September 29th and 30th at 7:30p. Witness new works by Autumn Christian, Delaney Hatfield, Olivia London, and Sydney Lemelin and learn about their unique processes of making dances. Enter into a gallery animated by the imaginations of these rising artists in collaboration with the talented 620 studio manager Marcus Wehby, projectALCHEMY artist director Alexander Jones, and company managers Sarah Hamilton and Emily Curry. 

The Moment Choreographer’s Showcase spans an hour, containing a mixture of durational and finite dance works that occur of the course evening, followed by a brief talkback and reception to close the experience. Guests will navigate through 620, stumbling upon dance happenings, interacting with dance via technology, and experiencing blossoming installation work. We strongly encourage that you meet and greet with the choreographers throughout event to hear first hand about the artistic process and their journey in creating their work.

The Momentum Choreographer’s showcase is the final element of Momentum: Choreographic Mentorship, a five-month program for emerging artists, both from within and outside of academia, to create artistic works in the Tampa Bay Area. This mentorship offers budding artists the opportunity to receive creative, financial, and administrative support toward a fully produced weekend of performances at The Studio@620.
